How to delete multiple and old emails on your BlackBerry
When you get a lot of emails on your BlackBerry you might sometimes lose overview which emails are still relevant and which are not. And sometimes you just want to delete old emails that you don’t need anymore to have more free memory on your BlackBerry.
Of course you can select each and every email that you want to delete and hit the “DEL” button, but there are also two other options that make it easy to delete emails on the BlackBerry.
Delete multiple emails
You can select multiple emails by pressing the Shift Key (the button that makes characters big, also has “aA” on it) and scroll the trackball to select multiple emails. Then you just hit the delete button and the emails are deleted.
Delete old emails
Just scroll to the date field at the top of your messages. When you press the BlackBerry menu button you should see delete prior. This deletes all emails prior to that date.
Automatically delete old emails
If you want to automatically delete old messages after a certain period of time, you can do this in the message options of your Blackberry. Open your messages, push the BlackBerry menu button and select “Options”. In the next step select “General Options” and if you scroll down the list you will see a field that is called “Keep Messages”. There you can set the number of days that emails are stored on your BlackBerry and you can select a period that is fine for you.
