Tell us about yourself, what do you do?

I’m the Director of Web Services for Viigo Inc. My team and I build exciting new service channels for Viigo users connecting the web experience with the mobile one. What BlackBerry model are you using?

I am using BlackBerry smartphones for two years already, currently I use a Curve 8310 for personal and work use.

What do you like most about your BlackBerry?

The keyboard

Why don’t you have an iPhone?

I have an iPod touch, so I got all I need of the iPhone. But I wouldn’t switch. I love my "physical" qwerty keyboard, somehow a touch screen is not the same, I wouldn’t get a Storm either.

In fact I’m writing this on my BlackBerry without even looking on my keyboard, something I don’t think I can do on a touch screen.

What is the best application you have on your BlackBerry?

Honestly, that would have to be Viigo.

On top of it being the awesome app that it already is, my job entails creating new channels and services in Viigo, so whenever I find something useful to do on a BlackBerry or something I need, I just turn it into a Viigo service that everybody can benefit from.

How does the BlackBerry make you more productive?

I like being connected and I like having everything I need within reach all the time. Push email is a big thing, but alone its not enough. I use Plaxo, Plaxo helps me connect everything together.

I read and respond to emails on my BlackBerry, and when there is a task or an appointment, adding them to my BlackBerry automatically populates them on my Google calendar, my yahoo calendar, etc. My contacts are shared between my BlackBerry, my laptop, my iPod, and my Gmail account. I can’t credit all that to BlackBerry, that’s Plaxo doing all that, but my BlackBerry is certainly the conduit though which I can do all of this.

I write emails, blog posts, tweets, create tasks, appointment’s, I can find directions, online information, wikipedia entries, I can read news and rss, find movie showtimes, watch youtube videos.

I don’t know what I can’t do with my BlackBerry … I can take over the world using this thing!

What is the favourite thing you do with your BlackBerry?

Blogging

I’ve started writing all my blog posts using BlackBerry recently and that’s a big deal for me because i’m always busy doing something and don’t much time to blog anymore. With the BlackBerry i can use my time on the subway/streetcars to write my blog posts.
