A Simple Trick to speed up your BlackBerry

highspeed A lot of people are having problems with the speed of their BlackBerry smartphone. While there is not a lot one can do about the systematic problems with memory management on the BlackBerry, you can do one simple thing in order to ensure that the speed of your applications doesn’t decrease significantly.

Whenever you are done using an application you have to close it. But closing doesn’t equal closing. Pushing the red “end call” button doesn’t close an application. It only moves the application to the background which means that the application will still be using processor time as well as application memory.

If you want to close an application you have to explicitly close the application by pushing the BlackBerry (options) button and select “Close” or “Exit”, depending on your application.

This way your application won’t continue to use memory and processing power while you are doing something else.

It’s not rocket science but still helpful, especially since a lot of people are not aware of the differences.
